Welcome to Cerro Coso Community College

Cerro Coso Community College was established in 1973 as a separate college within the Kern Community College District. Cerro Coso has five instructional sites (Eastern Sierra College Centers Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, Ridgecrest Indian Wells Valley Campus, Lake Isabella Kern River Valley Campus, and Edwards AFB South Kern Campus), which together form the largest geographical service area (18,000 square miles) of any community college in California and which serve a population of approximately 85,000. A leader in online education, Cerro Coso has been offering online classes since 1997 and offers 16 Associate degrees entirely online and as many as 160+ classes online each year, with approximately 180 sections per semester. A number of changes impacting students will go into effect this summer and fall. Please read the updates to ensure that you have the most current information in preparation for the summer and fall terms.

The Summer and Fall schedules of classes are now available. Priority registration began April 12. Open registration began April 26. Fully matriculated students qualify for priority registration. Check your matriculation status.

	NOTICE: The Library will be closed from Saturday, May 12th through Monday, May 28th. If assistance is needed during this time call (760) 384-6131. Materials for return can be placed in one of the blue drop boxes located near the LRC or the Main building. The library will open for the Summer session on Tuesday, May 29th.
	Cerro Coso has Openings in Summer Kinder Readiness Program The Cerro Coso Community College Child Development Center State Preschool has opening in their Summer Kinder Readiness Program for children ages 3 to 5 years old. 	College Golf Tournament to Benefit Book Scholarships The Fourth Annual Cerro Coso Golf Tournament is slated for Friday, June 22, 2012 at the China Lake Golf Course. 	Cerro Coso Honors Graduates During Commencement Exercise Friends, relatives, staff and faculty gathered to honor a class of 257 eligible graduates from the Indian Wells Valley Campus, South Kern Center at Edwards Air Force Base, Kern River Valley Center in Lake Isabella, and Online students. 	Cerro Coso Honors Athletes at Sports Banquet The Cerro Coso Athletics Awards Banquet serves to recognize student-athletes who have shown leadership within their teams and accomplishments on and off the field throughout the 2011-12 academic year. [More]
	8 Day Home Health Care Aide Course Offered at Cerro Coso in Bishop This Summer Cerro Coso Community College is offering an 8-day, intensive Home Health Care Aide course at the Bishop campus this summer. Classes will be held from June 4th through June 14th, Mondays through Thursdays, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Particicpants must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to enroll. [More]
	"Business Office Boot Camp" Offered This Summer in Bishop - Scholarships and Internships Available Cerro Coso Community College is offering six entry-level business office technology courses at the Owens Valley Career Development Center in Bishop this summer.
