Transportation

Transportation to the IWV Campus is provided by the City of Ridgecrest Transit System (R.T.S.). For a more complete pamphlet of RTS services, stop by our Student Activities office on the second floor of the IWV campus, room 258.

Costs

You can purchase transportation in a variety of ways. You can purchase a Monthly Unlimited Use/Rides pass. The costs for transportation through the Ridgecrest Transit System are:

General Public

• Monthly Unlimited rides Pass: $35.00 general
• Monthly Unlimited rides from Inyokern: $45.00
• Per ride, per person: $2.50 general ($2.50 Inyokern)

Disabled, Seniors, Youth under 18*

• Monthly Unlimited rides Pass: $35.00
• Monthly Unlimited rides from Inyokern: $35.00
• Per ride: $1.25 ($1.25 Inyokern)
• Children 5 & under ride free**

* = Seniors are 60 or over
** = Limited to 2 with an accompanying adult

Notice: Ridgecrest Transit will no longer accept monthly passes as payment for No-Shows. Payment for No-Shows can only be made by cash. Passengers will not be charged a No-show is RTS is more than 30 minutes late. If at any time a passenger has 4 unpaid No-Shows, they will be denied service until the No-Shows are paid.
