NOTICE:
Cerro Coso has stopped participating in any of the Subsidized or Unsubsidized FFELP Stafford Loans for Students. Cerro Coso does not participate in any of the Subsidized or Unsubsidized Parent Loans in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loans Program for Students. Cerro Coso Community College is making every effort to try to identify all free financial aid monies (i.e. Grants, scholarships, work study opportunities) for our students.

Keeping Your Student Loans in Good Standing

Access Your Information Online

Students can access the Government system for their loan and Pell grant information through the National Student Loan Data System for Students

Don't go into DEFAULT. For assistance in postponing payments or resolving your defaulted loan, contact the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman at 1-877-557-2575 or at the following link. http://www.ombudsman.ed.gov/

If you have previous loans and are having difficulties or are unable to make payments, contact your lender for help. Cerro Coso Community College Financial Aid staff is also available to counsel you about options that might help you to better manage your loan.
